Water & Shoreline

⚠️ Beach Safety — Know Before You Go Laie Point itself is not a swimming beach — the rocky shore has strong surge and no safe entry points. North Shore beaches (Sunset, Waimea, Pipeline) can have extremely dangerous surf November through March, with waves exceeding 20–30 feet. Rip currents are common year-round. Always check conditions before entering the water, swim at beaches with lifeguards when possible, and never turn your back on the ocean. If in doubt, don't go out.
